Our client, a well-established, highly regarded company and a fantastic place to build a career is looking for a Trainee Estimator. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, supportive sales team and full training will be provided, so previous experience in the role isn't essential.You'll be working alongside the Sales Manager and four other estimators, preparing quotations for customers from their product range. The role involves working through multiple revisions in Excel, so comfort with spreadsheets is important, as is a confident, professional manner when dealing with customers by phone and email.What you'll be doing:

• Preparing and revising customer quotations accurately and on time

• Using Excel to manage and update quotes through multiple revisions

• Communicating with customers by phone, email, and occasionally in person

• Working closely with the wider sales team to share information and solve problemsWhat we're looking for:

• Fantastic communication skills — written and verbal

• A confident, professional telephone manner

• Comfortable working with Excel and Microsoft Office

• Able to read basic drawings or spreadsheets (helpful, not essential)

• Some knowledge of timber would be an advantage, but training is fully provided
