Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday


The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Controller to join a well-established company in Leominster that designs and manufactures their products to a very high quality. This role is ideal for a quality-focused professional who takes pride in maintaining high standards, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement.


You will play a key role in safeguarding product quality by conducting inspections, tests, and root cause analyses while collaborating closely with internal teams to resolve issues and promote best practices.


Key Responsibilities

- Conduct inspections and tests of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

- Measure dimensions, test functionality, and identify defects or non-conformances.

- Accurately record inspection results, test data, and quality metrics.

- Prepare reports to monitor trends, identify root causes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Maintain and calibrate testing and measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO frameworks).

- Support and train production staff on quality standards and best practices.

- Collaborate with internal teams to promote a strong culture of quality and accountability.


Skills and Experience Required

- Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing or engineering.

- Strong attention to detail with a methodical and analytical approach.

- Working knowledge of quality control methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards).

- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

- Experience using quality management systems and recording inspection data.

- Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
