On behalf of our client, a fast-growing organisation in the logistics and freight services industry, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Officer to join their Uganda office. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious operations professional to step into a pivotal role that directly shapes how the business runs day to day.As Operations Officer, you will be at the heart of the organisation — ensuring processes flow smoothly, teams are aligned, and the business meets its operational commitments with precision and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating day-to-day operational processes to ensure seamless service delivery
- Streamlining workflows across departments, identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvements
- Implementing company policies and standard operating procedures, and contributing to the development of new procedures as the business scales
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including departments, suppliers, customs authorities, clients, and logistics partners
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a logistics, freight, or supply chain operations role
- Good knowledge of customs procedures, import/export regulations, and freight operations
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging cross-functional and external stakeholders
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and solving operational challenges
