Role Overview As Vice President, UX, you are responsible for defining the frameworks, components, and interaction models that establish Jio’s experience DNA across all customer touchpoints. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role at the intersection of design, technology, and culture. You will lead the creation of scalable UX frameworks, design systems, and behavioral patterns that dictate how Jio functions and behaves. Your work will shape how users engage with Jio’s services—ensuring consistency, clarity, and radical simplicity at scale. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across India—from research, visual design, and motion to hardware, engineering, and creative technology—to build seamless, multimodal experiences that are tokenised, intelligent, and future-ready. Key Responsibilities • Architect and execute UX frameworks that drive consistent, scalable interaction across all Jio platforms and touchpoints. • Develop and evolve foundational components, from UI elements to deeply integrated interaction patterns. • Design and maintain navigation systems that provide true orientation and forward continuity. • Build UX systems for software, hardware, mixed reality, and ambient interfaces. • Lead the design system strategy, including tokenisation, behavior modeling, and platform behaviors. • Conduct or oversee usability testing, heuristics, and behavior research to inform design logic. • Translate design frameworks into machine-readable formats for AI and platform integration. • Work across Motion, Visual, and Hardware teams to ensure a unified interaction language. • Bridge design and engineering in close collaboration with Creative Technologists. Required Qualifications • 15+ years of experience in UX and interaction design, with leadership roles in large, complex environments. • Demonstrated expertise in systemic UX architecture, scalable frameworks, and learned behaviors. • Deep knowledge of information architecture, interaction patterns, and design systems. • Experience with AI-driven UX models, machine-readable assets, and platform documentation. • Proven ability to work across software, hardware, and ambient technologies. • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial Design or related discipline (mandatory). • Based in India or willing to relocate. Experience
15+ years of experience in UX and interaction design, with leadership roles in large, complex environments. Demonstrated expertise in systemic UX architecture, scalable frameworks, and learned behaviors. Deep knowledge of information architecture, interaction patterns, and design systems. Experience with AI-driven UX models, machine-readable assets, and platform documentation. Proven ability to work across software, hardware, and ambient technologies. Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial Design or related discipline (mandatory). Based in India or willing to relocate.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and execute UX frameworks that drive consistent, scalable interaction across all of Jio’s platforms and touchpoints.
- Develop and evolve foundational components, from core UI elements to complex interaction patterns.
- Design and systematize navigation frameworks that ensure clarity and continuity across journeys and ecosystems.
- Oversee interaction models for software, hardware, spatial computing (AR/VR/MR), and ambient interfaces.
- Lead the design system strategy, including tokens, patterns, and platform behaviors.
- Partner with the Research team to integrate usability testing, heuristic evaluation, and behavioral insights.
- Work closely with the Experience Platform team to ensure documentation, tokenisation, and platform translation of UX assets.
- Collaborate with Motion, Visual, and Hardware teams to unify interaction principles across disciplines.
- Bridge design and implementation through close coordination with Creative Technologists and Engineering.
