Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Technical Security Consultant with hands-on experience in Qualys Vulnerability Management and Policy Compliance to support the deployment, documentation, and monitoring of security tools across IT infrastructures. Responsibilities: Deploy and configure Qualys solutions for vulnerability and compliance management. Provide technical support to IT administrators during the implementation phase. Document deployment processes, configurations, and post-deployment monitoring procedures. Analyze vulnerability scan results and communicate findings to local IT teams. Assist in resolving technical issues or support cases related to the tools. Conduct unit testing and provide evidence of successful implementation. Collaborate closely with the project manager to ensure smooth project delivery. Requirements: Proven experience with Qualys VM and Qualys Policy Compliance. Strong skills in technical documentation and reporting. Background in IT security, vulnerability management, or compliance projects. Ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings to stakeholders. Experience working in cross-functional, collaborative environments. Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Experience
Experience Required: 3+ years of experience in IT Security or Cybersecurity roles. Hands-on experience with Qualys Vulnerability Management and Policy Compliance modules (VM, PC). Proven track record in the deployment and configuration of vulnerability scanning and compliance tools. Experience in technical documentation and creation of operational procedures (SOPs, runbooks). Background supporting IT infrastructure teams in securing systems and remediating vulnerabilities. Experience conducting or supporting unit testing, compliance reporting, and audit preparation. Familiarity with industry standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls. Experience working in project-based environments, collaborating with Project Managers and cross-functional teams. Previous involvement in incident handling and technical troubleshooting related to security tools.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the deployment and configuration of Qualys Vulnerability Management and Policy Compliance tools.
- Provide technical support to IT administrators throughout the implementation process.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including deployment guides, monitoring procedures, and SOPs.
- Perform vulnerability analysis, interpret scan results, and present findings to local IT teams.
- Ensure full coverage of IT assets and servers within the vulnerability management program.
- Support the resolution of technical issues and manage support cases as needed.
- Deliver evidence of unit testing and ensure solutions are properly validated.
- Collaborate with project managers to align timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the vulnerability and compliance management program.
- Ensure all activities align with security best practices and organizational compliance requirements.
