Product Designer – Remote
Location: Fully Remote (South Africa)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: R40,000 - R60,000
Our client is on an ambitious journey to enhance their platform, introduce innovative new features, and explore opportunities beyond the local forex space. As they continue to scale, they need a Product Designer who is creative, adaptable, and strategic to help bring these goals to life.
As a Product Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the user experience and interface of our client’s forex and arbitrage services. This position requires a mix of technical skill, creative problem-solving, and business acumen to deliver a seamless, intuitive platform.
Responsibilities:
• Design intuitive and streamlined solutions for forex and arbitrage services.
• Lead and oversee the UX/UI design team, ensuring best practices in user experience.
• Put yourself in the user’s shoes to create an exceptional customer journey.
• Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring high-quality execution.
• Analyse and refine business processes to enhance platform efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with the operations, engineering, and other teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Conduct quality control checks on new features to ensure they meet design standards.
• Continuously evaluate, iterate, and improve existing products.
Requirements:
• At least 2 years of experience in product design, UX/UI, or a related role.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Design, Engineering, Data Analytics).
• Experience in the financial sector is a plus but not a requirement.
• Strong UX/UI intuition to guide product development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to create an MVP quickly.
• Adaptability and a multi-tasking mindset to work across various teams and projects.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on deliverables.
• Highly organized approach to managing design processes efficiently.
• Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders.
• A start-up mindset - comfortable with iteration, failure, and rapid development.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Equipment Provided – Must have a dedicated, separate workspace free from distractions and uninterrupted, fast fibre line.
