Job Summary

Our client is a highly regarded and award-winning regional law firm with a strong presence across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and the East Midlands. Known for its inclusive culture, outstanding client service, and commitment to staff development, the firm offers an exciting opportunity for a senior family lawyer to step into a leadership role within a well-established department.We are now seeking a Family Law Partner (or a Senior Associate with a clear route to Partnership) to help lead and grow the family law offering in Goole and the wider region


Salary: £65–90K DOE plus excellent benefits package.


Key Requirements


We are looking for a senior family law professional with a proven track record in private family work, including divorce, finances, private children matters, and injunctions. The successful candidate will be an ambitious leader, capable of managing a team and developing new business.


Must-have skills and experience


  • Qualified Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive, ideally with 7+ years PQE.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a broad family law caseload.
  • Strong knowledge of private law children cases, financial remedy, and injunctions.
  • Legal Aid experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent client care, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
  • Track record in business development, networking, and client retention.
  • Experience in mentoring or supervising junior staff.
  • Commercial awareness and ability to contribute to the strategic growth of the department.


Role & Responsibilities


As Family Law Partner, you will play a critical role in delivering legal excellence while helping to shape the future of the firm’s family law services in the region. You will be given the autonomy to lead, develop, and grow the team, with full support from senior leadership.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Running and supervising complex family law cases (divorce, financial remedy, children, injunctions).
  • Providing strategic input into the department’s development and growth.
  • Driving business development, including maintaining and building client relationships.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior team members and contributing to talent development.
  • Contributing to internal training and sharing best practice.
  • Representing the firm at local events, networking forums, and professional groups.
  • Maintaining high standards of compliance, ethics, and client service.
