                Job Summary
                    Our Client, a leading engineering and design consultancy, is seeking Urban Drainage Modellers – Assistant to Principal to join their team in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds, or Manchester.

                Experience
                    - Experience/awareness of urban drainage modelling within InfoWorks ICM (or CS), GIS packages such as ARC or MapInfo and civil engineering would be advantageous but not essential as full on the job training will be provided where required.
- Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
- Experience in Wastewater modelling and distribution networks.
- Building and calibrating network models.
- Using network models for planning, operational and solution development purposes.
- Experience with InfoWorks ICM (or CS) and other modelling software.
For the more senior roles, varying levels of experience in model build and verification, hydraulic and water quality analysis, catchment planning, Drainage and Wastewater Management Planning (DWMP), solution development and technical leadership are required to match the specific position as well as.
- Expertise using InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
- Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects.
- Ability to check the work of others to provide quality assurance and drive continuous improvement in work delivered to the client.
- Implementation of industry leading solutions and development of innovative solutions.
- Management and technical supervision of a team of waste water modellers.
- Supervision of report writing and check and review of outputs.
Desirable Qualifications:
- BSc/BEng/MEng degree level: geography, GIS, Science, engineering related subject or equivalent considered with appropriate professional qualifications at the senior levels.
- Technician roles require HNC, HND level qualification in similar subjects. Opportunities to work towards qualifications will be available for the successful candidates.
                Job Responsibilities
                    - Development of computer models to investigate water network issues and investment needs and generation of outline solutions.
- Analysis of data.
- Supporting the development of engineering solutions and advising to their clients to help them make better asset investment decisions.
- Support development of reports and other project deliverables.
- Prepare (and adhere to) health and safety risk assessments.
- Support in the development of tender responses and fee estimates at higher grades.
- Supervising and developing staff and providing guidance to support their professional development at higher grades.
