Job Summary
Our Client is a well-established contractor operating across major infrastructure and utility projects in the UK. Experience
- Project manager with Strong Civil engineering experience in Heavy Civils, Rail, Water and / or utilities. - Temporary works coordinator / supervisor experience. - P6 programming - NEC 3/4 experience - Sub-contract management - Worked on Thames Water & Rail projects - NRSWA experience - Lifting AP trained - Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, and cost control including forecasting, actual cost, and value reporting. - Ability to use Primavera P6 software or equivalent - Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent - CSCS manager’s card - SMSTS - NEBOSH Construction Certificate - Knowledge of the NEC contract including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms - Excellent communication, people, and team management skills, with the ability to influence, motivate and mentor - Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to a conclusion - Ability to manage and deliver a successful project with minimal guidance - CEng MICE (Desirable)
Contract Information
6 months contract with the view to extend
Job Responsibilities
- Produce financial forecasts, monitor and control project costs and cost reporting, and produce monthly reports to the Contracts Manager on project performance, efficient team building and labour organisation.
- Deliver projects from the design phase to completion including all handover documentation.
- Review progress, budget resources and planning.
- Review work packages and ensure the scope of work is clearly defined and understood.
- Chair weekly site meetings and ensure the production of accurate records of any discussions and actions.
- Build and maintain good relationships with the customer, framework suppliers and design consultants.
- Build and maintain good relationships with the customer, framework suppliers and design consultants.
- Develop engineering solutions so that a buildable cost-effective construction solution is delivered that fulfils the client’s requirements.
- Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans, risk assessments, method statements, site waste management plans, and procurement of plant and materials are in line with company procedures.
