Job Summary
Our Client, a leading consultancy in Aerospace, Defence, Security, and Technology, is seeking a highly experienced Air Safety Consultant to join their team in Bristol. They are seeking senior consultants with a strong understanding of the Defence market to provide guidance and direction in developing aviation certification, airworthiness, and safety management solutions.
Experience
- Understanding and application of ASPIRE and the Air Engineer’s Toolkit. - Understanding and application of military aviation hazard/accident/risk management. - Experience of developing Safety Assessment Reports. - Experience in at least one of the following tools: (i) Air System Loss Models; (ii) BowTies; and/or (iii) GSN/CAE. - Proven track record of developing Safety Management solutions at enterprise, platform or at system level. - Develop innovative Safety Management solutions to support operations. Able to build sustainable relationships with clients and develop future business opportunities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills commensurate with the role, including the preparation and presentation of reports to both internal and external clients. - Good understanding of the Aerospace & Defence and wider markets. - Chartered/Incorporated Engineer or equivalent or working towards it. - Knowledge and awareness of the safety and air engineering disciplines and related disciplines and their developments across varied markets including Defence. - Experience of conducting/supporting safety related techniques such as FHA, ZHA, FTA, ETA, FMECA and/or CBA. - Experienced in development of Airworthiness Strategies / Safety Management Plans. - Working Knowledge of Industry Standards and other Defence Standards such as Def Stan 00-056. - Knowledge and experience of working in wider markets and the ability to sell their related discipline capability to internal and external clients to those markets. - Membership of UK, EU or US professional societies/working groups, etc.
Job Responsibilities
- Leadership of major safety management assignments.
- Developing safety, airworthiness, technical evaluation and certification reports, presentations and other artefacts.
- Assurance of work undertaken by project teams.
- Support to winning new work.
- Providing a vision of future needs to support the development of their capability to serve their clients and expand their business.
