Job Summary
Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is looking for a Principal DSEAR Engineer to join their team in Epsom.
In this role, you will provide critical support to engineering teams across various sectors, particularly in the implementation of DSEAR regulations. You will be involved in ensuring the safety of work environments and supporting projects across industries like Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, and more.
Experience
- Chartered Engineer, ideally with training in hazardous area determination and risk assessment from a recognised body.
- Experience of the role of leading DSEAR in design delivery, ideally within the water industry, or a related process industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of the application of DSEAR, including risk assessment and area classification in accordance with EN 60079-10 and IP 15.
- Strong understanding of DSEAR legislation, ATEX directives and CDM.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
