Job Summary
Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking an experienced Associate Director in ICA Engineering to join their team in Glasgow.
In this role, you will lead the charge in all aspects of business development and ICA engineering, contributing to transformational programmes supporting critical UK infrastructure. You’ll have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across diverse sectors.
Experience
- Chartered Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer.
- Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Comprehensive knowledge in ICA design (instrumentation, PLC and SCADA systems), motor control systems, system architecture, fieldbus/communication networks, P&ID’s, ATEX installation practice, functional safety, development of control specifications (URS/FDS), schedules and system requirements within process/industrial environment.
- Expert knowledge on current UK design standards, working practices and national guidance.
Job Responsibilities
- Own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Defining briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Setting quality assurance standards in design.
- Grow, develop and manage ICA engineering capability within the practice.
