Job Summary
Our client, a leading design and engineering consultancy, is looking for an experienced Principal ICA Engineer to join their team. In this important role, you'll contribute to every aspect of instrumentation and control/automation engineering on Transformational Programmes that support critical UK infrastructure.
The position is based in the Epsom office, with opportunities for flexible working.
Experience
- Chartered Instrumentation Engineer.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
- Sound knowledge ICA design (instrumentation, PLC and SCADA systems), motor control systems, system architecture, fieldbus/communication networks, P&ID’s, ATEX installation practice, functional safety, development of control specifications (URS/FDS), schedules and system requirements within process/industrial environment.
- Proficiency in designing within appropriate digital analysis packages, following applicable standards, working practices and national guidance.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
