Job Summary
Our client, a leading design and engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join their team and play a key role in design management for transformational programmes in critical UK infrastructure and Water projects.
This position is based in Manchester, with flexible location options available.
Experience
- Chartered Civil Engineer.
- Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build.
- Sound knowledge in water and/or wastewater treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics, water supply and wastewater collection systems and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
- Sound commercial, contractual and programme experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Deliver technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
- Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Understand, communicate and manage project risks.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
