THE OPPORTUNITY


Oxygen 8 Recruitment is proud to be working with a well-established and respected medical device company based on the South Coast of the UK. This is a genuinely exciting, broad-reaching marketing role for an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment. You will take ownership of the full marketing function for the duration of the contract from strategic campaign delivery and digital marketing, through to hands-on events management and the creation of compelling sales collateral. This is a role where no two days are the same, and where your work will have a direct, visible impact on the business. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who are available at short notice or immediately and can hit the ground running from day one.

THE ROLE 


Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning and executing all marketing activity across the business.


Key areas of responsibility include: 


  • Lead planning, logistics and delivery of the company's annual calendar of trade events, exhibitions, conferences and congresses - both in the UK and internationally 
  • Manage external suppliers, stand design agencies and AV teams to ensure high-quality brand representation at all events  
  • Coordinate speaker submissions, sponsorship arrangements and delegate communications
  • Conduct post-event analysis and ROI reporting to inform future investment decisions Sales & Marketing Collateral
  • Produce and maintain a comprehensive suite of sales-ready materials brochures, product sheets, case studies, white papers, presentations and leave-behinds
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand their needs and ensure collateral is current, accurate and compelling
  • Manage the end-to-end production process from brief through to print and digital distribution
  • Ensure all materials meet regulatory and compliance requirements appropriate to the medical device sector Digital Marketing
  • Manage and optimise the company website, ensuring content is up to date, SEO-friendly and aligned with commercial objectives
  • Plan and execute email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, copywriting, deployment and performance analysis
  • Oversee the company's social media presence (particularly LinkedIn), developing a content calendar and growing audience engagement
  • Manage paid digital advertising campaigns including Google Ads and targeted LinkedIn campaigns
  • Maintain and report on digital analytics across all channels using Google Analytics and relevant platforms Market Intelligence & Data
  • Extract, analyse and present market data to identify commercial trends, competitor activity and new opportunities
  • Prepare regular marketing performance dashboards for senior leadership
  • Monitor industry publications, regulatory updates and KOL activity to keep the business informed
  • Support the sales team with targeted data-driven insights to prioritise leads and territories Brand & Communications
  • Act as brand guardian, ensuring consistency across all touch points both internal and external
  • Draft press releases, award submissions and external communications
  • Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives where required
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, designers and copywriters 


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR 


The successful candidate will be a confident, commercially aware marketing professional with a proven track record across a broad marketing mix. You will be self-sufficient, highly organised and comfortable working both strategically and with a great deal of hands-on execution.

 

Essential Experience & Skills


  • Significant experience in a marketing management role, ideally within medical devices, healthcare, life sciences or a regulated B2B environment
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and managing trade events and exhibitions, including international shows
  • Strong copywriting and content creation skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences
  • Hands-on expertise with digital marketing, web, email, SEO, social media and paid campaigns
  • Confident in working with data: extracting market intelligence, building reports and presenting insights clearly
  • Experience managing third-party agencies, designers and print suppliers
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Word; experience with CRM and email marketing platforms
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills comfortable working with sales teams and senior leadership Desirable
  • Experience within the medical device sector or a similarly regulated industry
  • Familiarity with MHRA marketing guidelines and/or MDR compliance considerations
  • CIM qualification or equivalent marketing credential
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior marketing staff Availability is key
