The Role

As a Senior Medical Writer, you will be the scientific heartbeat of your accounts. You will take high-level clinical data and translate it into clear, accurate, and impactful communications across a variety of platforms from digital patient engagement tools to high-tier congress presentations and publications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scientific Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert on key therapeutic areas, providing deep insights that inform both client strategy and creative execution.
• Content Excellence: Create high-quality, medically accurate content for a range of audiences, including HCPs, patients, and internal pharmaceutical stakeholders.
• Strategic Input: Work closely with Account Management and Strategy teams to ensure all scientific content aligns with the brand’s commercial and clinical objectives.
• Client Consultancy: Lead scientific discussions with external experts and client medical teams, acting as a credible and authoritative partner.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and rigorous peer review for junior writers, upholding the agency’s reputation for excellence.

Who You Are

• You hold an advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a life sciences discipline.
• You have 3-5 years of experience in a medical writing role within a healthcare communications agency.
• You possess the rare ability to simplify the complex without losing the scientific nuances required for regulatory and ethical compliance.
• You understand the "why" behind the data and can identify how specific clinical outcomes translate into real-world benefits for patients.
• You are comfortable working across multi-channel outputs and are curious about how technology (including AI and data visualisation) can enhance scientific storytelling.
