Technical Consultant: Kong/Apigee

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Consultant with strong Kong Gateway and Apigee expertise.

This role is ideal for someone who has led Kong-focused projects and has a solid understanding of the Apigee ecosystem. You’ll be involved in designing, developing, and maintaining robust API solutions that support enterprise‑level integration and security needs.

Role Overview:

Duration: 6 months plus

Location: Stratford, 3 days onsite

Security Clearance: SC eligible

What you’ll be doing:

Working hands-on with Kong Gateway (Konnect / Enterprise)

Designing and building API solutions end-to-end

Managing key components such as Services, Routes, Consumers, Plugins, and Upstreams

Implementing API security using OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, Basic Auth, and API Keys

Setting up rate limiting, throttling, and traffic control policies

Developing custom plugins in Lua, including lifecycle and versioning management

Nice-to-have experience:

Terraform

API testing

DevOps practices
