This is a strategic architecture role suited to a hands-on technologist who combines deep system design capability with pragmatic delivery leadership. You will shape robust platforms, influence engineering standards, and drive architectural integrity across complex financial services environments.

The Opportunity

You will lead the architecture and technical direction of large, strategically significant systems. Working closely with senior stakeholders and engineering teams, you will design solutions that are scalable, secure, and commercially aligned.This role requires both architectural oversight and hands-on technical engagement — balancing governance with delivery.

• Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL)
• C# .NET
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Bootstrap or equivalent responsive design frameworks
• SOLID principles and clean architecture patternsAdvantageous exposure includes:React JS
• .NET Core
• Entity Framework (EF Core)
• API design and development

• Comfortable across Visual Studio, VS Code, Git, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and GitHub Issues
• Experienced in Agile delivery environments

• Commercially aware with the ability to evaluate trade-offs in cost, performance, and scalability

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design for complex, large-scale systems
• Engage subject matter experts to resolve technically complex client requirements
• Define and drive adherence to engineering and architectural standards
• Develop implementation strategies aligned to architectural and performance constraints
• Design solutions introducing new technologies or innovative applications of existing platforms
• Produce accurate end-to-end solution estimations
• Evaluate alternative architectures and document key technical decisions
• Provide technical governance across development and integration activities
• Collaborate with DevOps teams across configuration, build, release, and deployment cycles
• Embed security and privacy considerations into architectural design
• Oversee application support standards and documentation processes
• Assess change requests and architectural deviations with commercial insight
