Our client, one of the leading technical solutions companies in the Netherlands, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of industrial systems across multiple industries.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of preventive and corrective maintenance — keeping critical equipment running smoothly and helping customers stay ahead through smart, proactive service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide variety of mechanical and electrical systems at client sites across the Netherlands.
Your main responsibilities include:
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults efficiently and safely.
Working on breakdowns, repairs, and service projects in industries such as manufacturing, food, pharma, and process chemistry.
Applying technical knowledge to troubleshoot and improve performance of industrial machinery.
Collaborating with planners and engineers to schedule maintenance work and record findings.
Travelling to client sites and working shifts as required by project demands.
Communicating effectively with colleagues and clients to deliver high-quality, dependable service.

Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for a skilled technician who combines technical excellence with a proactive, service-driven mindset.
Ideal background:
Completed studies in Millwrighting or similar technical qualification (NQF Level 4–5 or equivalent).
A well-rounded background as a mechanical and electrical technician (Millwright).
Minimum 4 years of hands-on maintenance experience.
Strong electrical background and fault-finding ability.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and variable speed drives is an advantage.
Exposure to industrial sectors such as food, pharma, heavy industry, petrochemical, or manufacturing.
Additional training or experience in process technology and automation is beneficial.
Willingness to work shifts and travel to different client sites.
Excellent communication skills in English (Afrikaans is a plus) and an openness to learn Dutch.
