Our client, a leading technical solutions company in the Netherlands, is looking for an experienced Refrigeration Service Technician to maintain, repair, and optimise large-scale industrial cooling and freezing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Refrigeration Service Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of advanced industrial refrigeration systems across multiple industries, including agro, fish, and food processing.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Troubleshooting and repairing faults on industrial cooling and freezing installations.

Performing maintenance, modification, installation, inspection, and overhaul work according to client agreements.

Conducting system checks, commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with technical standards.

Preparing maintenance and inspection reports, advising clients on technical findings and improvements.

Supporting the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.

Collaborating with planners and technical teams to coordinate daily tasks and respond to service requests.

Participating in rotational standby or breakdown service approximately every 5–6 weeks.

This role involves travel to client sites throughout the Netherlands, offering a dynamic and varied work environment where independence and teamwork go hand in hand.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for a professional who combines technical expertise with a strong sense of responsibility and customer focus.

Ideal background:

Technical education in Refrigeration Technology (NQF Level 4–5 or equivalent).

Proven experience working on complex industrial refrigeration systems and compressors.

Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems related to industrial refrigeration.

Experience working with refrigerant gases (F-gas and ammonia).

Prior experience in maintenance, service, or breakdown repair roles within refrigeration environments.

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a commitment to safety and precision.

Experience in industrial sectors such as dairy, fish, or food processing is highly desirable.

Proficiency in English (Afrikaans is a plus) and a willingness to learn Dutch.
