Key Responsibilities:
Business Development Support
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the mining, exploration, and geological consulting sectors.
Assist in preparing tenders, proposals, and capability statements.
Support the BD Manager in maintaining and expanding relationships with existing and potential clients.
Conduct market and competitor research to identify emerging opportunities and trends.
Coordinate and track client communications and leads in the CRM system.
Technical Contribution
Apply geological understanding to assess project feasibility and align client needs with the company's service offering.
Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex geological data into clear client proposals and presentations.
Attend site visits, trade shows, and technical meetings as required.
Marketing and Communication
Support marketing initiatives such as case studies, project highlights, and technical content for social media and company website.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Reporting and Administration
Maintain regular reporting on business development metrics and pipeline activities.
Ensure all documentation and client correspondence are up to date and well-organised.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
BSc (Hons) or MSc in Geology (essential).
Additional business, marketing, or project management training (advantageous).
Experience:
0–3 years’ post-graduate experience in geology, exploration, or consulting.
Exposure to client liaison, project coordination, or proposal writing is advantageous.
Knowledge of mineral exploration, resource evaluation, or mining processes.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of geological principles, exploration techniques, and data interpretation.
Competent with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with CRM or business development tools (advantageous).
