Senior Account Executive – Public Sector

London (Hybrid, 3+ days in office)

£80,000-£100,00 + Uncapped Commission + Equity


A well-established UK data and intelligence platform — trusted by hundreds of organisations including central government, leading universities and major financial institutions — is looking for a Senior AE to drive growth across the public sector.


The company has spent over a decade building proprietary technology and a specialist in-house team to solve a data problem that affects every organisation trying to understand, engage with or measure the impact of growth businesses. With a strong UK presence and an active international expansion underway, this is a business with real momentum and a proven commercial track record.


The Role:

You'll be building on an established public sector foundation — running sophisticated outreach, responding to tenders, and closing strategic deals with senior decision-makers across central government, universities and local authorities.

You'll have a proven MEDDIC-led methodology and a fully developed tech stack to support you, and real input into how the public sector playbook evolves.


Day to day:

  • Pipeline generation: Identifying and executing effective strategies for engaging the public sector — cold outreach, marketing campaigns, events and tender responses
  • Managing strategic sales cycles: Running deals from a few months to a year+, closing £50k+ p/a contracts
  • Tender response: Identifying, entering and winning mid-market public sector tenders
  • Running highly tailored demos for each organisation's specific use cases
  • Contributing to territory prioritisation, pricing and public sector go-to-market strategy


What they're looking for:

  • 3+ years selling into large public sector organisations — ideally central government and universities
  • Consistent track record closing £50k+ p/a deals in complex, consultative environments
  • Proven history of entering and winning tenders, particularly for data-related products
  • Strong outbound pedigree alongside tender work — events, networking, cold outreach
  • Smart and consultative — credible with senior public sector decision-makers, resilient across long cycles
