Job Summary

RecQuest is working on behalf of an ambitious law firm looking to expand its Litigation team and seeking a dedicated Litigation Solicitor to join them in Lymington. They are searching for a motivated individual with 3+ years PQE, experienced in handling a broad range of civil and commercial litigation matters, who can manage and grow an existing caseload.


Key Responsibilities

• Providing expert legal advice on a wide range of litigation matters, including contract disputes, property litigation, professional negligence, and debt recovery

.• Managing cases from initial instruction through to resolution, including drafting pleadings, witness statements, and other key documents.

• Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.

• Advising clients on dispute resolution strategies and risk management.

• Handling urgent matters such as injunctions and enforcement actions.

• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support the continued growth of the litigation department.What


They Offer

• Competitive salary range: £45,000 – £60,000

• Full-time, permanent role

• Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00


What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (minimum 3 years PQE) with solid experience in Litigation.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to independently manage a busy and varied caseload.

• Excellent communication and advocacy skills, with confidence in dealing with clients, counsel, and the courts.

• A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to help develop and grow the firm’s client base.

• Previous experience using case management systems.

What You’ll Be Doing Your responsibilities will reflect your experience and interests, and we’ll support you in expanding your expertise. If your focus is commercial property Managing a varied caseload of commercial sales, purchases, and leases — from straightforward matters to more complex transactions. Acting for landlords and tenants in lease negotiations, renewals, and terminations, including multi‑party or high‑value arrangements. Assisting businesses and developers with acquisitions, disposals, and planning‑related matters. Advising on commercial leases, licences, options, and development agreements. Working alongside the corporate team on the property elements of business transactions and infrastructure projects. Supporting the department with non‑transactional property work where required. If your focus is residential property Handling a full range of residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases, leasehold transactions, new builds, and shared ownership. Advising on Help to Buy, lease extensions, declarations of trust, and re‑mortgages. Liaising with estate agents, lenders, brokers, and local authorities to ensure smooth progress on all matters.
