Private Client Fee-Earner: Portsmouth | £38,000 - £50,000+ DOE We’re recruiting on behalf of a respected, multi-office firm for a Private Client solicitor or experienced fee-earner to join their team in Portsmouth. With strong local ties and a loyal client base, the firm offers a broad and interesting caseload with real potential for progression. You’ll be joining a well-established department handling the full range of private client work, supported by an experienced team and working closely with colleagues in property and litigation where matters overlap. What you’ll be handling: - Wills, LPAs, estate administration and probate - Inheritance Tax and succession planning - Trusts and asset protection - Court of Protection and deputyship applications - Client meetings and long-term planning support What we’re looking for: - Experience in private client law, either as a solicitor, legal executive or senior paralegal - Strong client-facing skills and a compassionate, thoughtful approach - Sound technical knowledge with the ability to work independently - STEP qualification or interest in completing it (supported) Why consider this role? - Salary from £38,000 to £50,000+ depending on experience - Office based in central Portsmouth - 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays - Supportive, well-run team with scope for progression to more senior roles - Strong reputation and loyal local client base This is a great opportunity for a private client specialist looking for stability, growth and long-term potential.
