Job Summary
Property Litigation Lawyer: Worthing, Chichester or Portsmouth | £38,000 - £50,000+ DOE
A rare opportunity has arisen for a property litigation solicitor or fee-earner to join a regional law firm with offices across the South Coast. This is a dynamic and varied role, perfect for someone with a strong foundation in property litigation who is ready to take the lead on complex matters.
You’ll join a well-integrated disputes team with close ties to the property, commercial and private client departments, giving you exposure to a broad and interesting caseload.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on residential and commercial property disputes including breach of covenant, forfeiture, boundary disputes, easements, rights of way, and possession claims
- Representing landlords, tenants, developers, and private individuals
- Drafting pleadings, instructions to counsel, and negotiating settlements
- Conducting cases from pre-action through to court or tribunal hearings
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to business development
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in property litigation or civil litigation with a strong property element
- Qualified solicitor, legal executive or experienced litigation fee-earner
- Strong drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills
- Confident managing a varied caseload with minimal supervision
