Job Summary
RecQuest are working in partnership with a highly regarded law firm known for its dedication to client care and professional excellence. They are now seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer (3+ years PQE) to join their well-established Private Client team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a strong background in estate administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), and wills. You will be supported by a wider team and will relish the opportunity of working with high-net-worth individuals and complex estates.
The Role:
- Manage a varied caseload of Private Client matters, including estate administration, LPAs, and wills.
- Provide clear, practical, and empathetic legal advice to clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on long-term service.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, while being part of a supportive and collaborative team.
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 3 years PQE in Private Client law.
- Passionate about providing excellent client care, particularly in sensitive legal matters.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with clients, colleagues, and external contacts.
- IT proficient, with experience using Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A proactive team player with a flexible, "can do" approach, but also confident working independently.

Person Specification
Strong working knowledge of departmental processes, procedures, and legal precedents, with a commitment to staying updated as they evolve.
Competent in MS Office and experienced with case management systems and databases.
Able to prioritise tasks effectively and remain confident working in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
Demonstrates the Firm’s core values in all aspects of work.
High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
Reliable, discreet, and trustworthy.
Sound judgement and the ability to make appropriate decisions.
Strong relationship‑building skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Complete all typing, audio transcription, and document production accurately and promptly.
Maintain organised filing systems that follow office procedures and ensure documents are stored correctly.
Keep files updated, ensuring all actions, progress, and key information are recorded clearly and on time.
Assist with progressing client matters by carrying out tasks delegated by the Fee Earner(s) that fall within the Assistant’s capability.
Manage both your own diary and the Fee Earner(s)’ diaries, including scheduling and monitoring important dates.
Arrange client appointments and ensure all relevant information is gathered and passed on to the Fee Earner(s).
Handle financial transactions efficiently and in accordance with office processes.
Maintain strict confidentiality at all times and remain aware of data protection requirements.
Participate in all necessary training relevant to the role or qualifications held, and support the training of colleagues when required.
