Experience
Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience: At least 10 years of experience in the international casualty or general liability market, with a strong background in underwriting, managing, and growing portfolios across multiple geographies.
• Expertise in Binding Authority: Proven track record of acting as binding authority to scale business, drive new opportunities, and expand into international markets.
• Leadership: Strong team leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop underwriters.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international GL insurance, risk management practices, and the complexities of underwriting in diverse regions. Knowledge of key markets, trends, and regulatory environments is essential.
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to identify profitable growth opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue through effective underwriting strategies and market expansion.
• Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior executives, brokers, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Education: A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., ACII, FCII) is preferred.
