Job Description
Contact payers to obtain medical claim status and follow up on denials or partial payments.
Obtain payer requirements to ensure timely adjudication of claims.
Verify, adjust, and update Accounts Receivable (A/R) based on correspondence received from insurance companies.
Help facilitate interoffice communication regarding error and denial trends.
Research credit balances and initiate refunds when required.
Document all activities in the customer’s account within the system.
Respond to Accounts Receivable phone inquiries.
Work assigned RBCO reports.
Assist other PACs with questions or collection needs when needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
Demonstrated knowledge of insurance policies, qualifications, and guidelines.
Strong telephone etiquette and effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
Positive and cooperative attitude when working with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of the medical field preferred.
