The firm works with a diverse client base, including clients within the media and entertainment sector, as well as property, technology, retail, motorsport, charity and professional services businesses.

What You Can Expect
You'll work closely with colleagues at all levels, from Bookkeepers through to Senior Partners, providing exposure to a broad range of accounting, tax and advisory work.
The firm has a particularly strong presence within the media and entertainment sector, although experience in this area is not required. The varied client portfolio offers excellent exposure to both individuals and limited companies across multiple industries.
The Role
As an Assistant Manager, you will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients and play a key role in supporting both clients and junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting activities
- Reviewing financial statements prepared under FRS 105, FRS 102 1A and FRS 102
- Reviewing corporation tax returns
- Managing a portfolio of monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Managing a portfolio of Making Tax Digital submissions
- Liaising directly with clients regarding routine accounting and tax matters
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
- Reviewing sole trader accounts
- Conducting technical research to support managers and partners
- Mentoring, supervising and developing junior team members
- Assisting in performance reviews and identifying training needs
- Supporting workflow management and portfolio administration
- Assisting with overseas tax matters
- Monitoring budgets, work-in-progress and billing processes
Skills & Experience Required
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Previous experience working at Accounts Senior level
- 1-2 years post-qualified experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- A collaborative team player able to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
