About the Role
PAB Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential care provider for an experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager to lead a 3-bed EBD Children's Home, supporting young people aged 10–17 years. This is not a 16+ provision.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Ofsted Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager with a minimum of 2 years' experience within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home who is ready to step into their first Registered Manager position.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day management and operations of the children's home.
Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards and all relevant legislation.
Promote a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for children and young people.
Lead, mentor, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team.
Promote positive outcomes, wellbeing and high-quality, child-centred care.
Build effective relationships with local authorities, families and external professionals.
Manage safeguarding, care planning, risk management and quality assurance.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards across the service.
Essential Requirements
Currently based in the UK.
Require Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to work in the UK.
Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager, or a minimum of 2 years' experience as an Ofsted Deputy Manager within a children's residential home.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare, or currently working towards it.
Candidates holding a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare with significant management experience within an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home may also be considered.
Excellent knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.
Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
Ability to lead inspections, audits and continuous service improvement.
