Pab Staffing Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing law firm in Greater Manchester for an experienced Criminal Solicitor.This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking legal practice where you'll handle a varied criminal law caseload, represent clients throughout the criminal justice process, and contribute to the continued growth of a successful Criminal Defence team.If you are passionate about criminal law and committed to delivering exceptional client service, we'd love to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a varied caseload of criminal law matters from instruction through to conclusion.

Advise and represent clients at police stations, courts, and client meetings.

Represent clients in Magistrates' Courts and undertake advocacy where appropriate.

Prepare cases for hearings and trial, including briefing counsel when required.

Manage legal aid applications and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Maintain accurate case files, billing records, and case progression.

Participate in out-of-hours work and court attendance where required.

Requirements

Essential

Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales.

Experience across Criminal Law.

Ability to manage a criminal law caseload independently.

Excellent communication and client care skills.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure.

High professional and ethical standards.DesirableExperience representing clients at police stations.

Magistrates' Court advocacy experience.

Legal Aid experience.

Duty Solicitor Accreditation.
