We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established proprietary power trading firm operating within the North American wholesale electricity markets.

Compensation

Tier 1

Base Salary: $80,000 – $150,000

Profit Participation: 25–30% of Net Trading P&L

Tier 2

Base Salary: $125,000 – $200,000

Profit Participation: 20–25% of Net Trading P&L

Compensation will be determined based on experience, proven trading performance, and track record.

The client is actively interviewing qualified candidates for multiple positions.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute profitable Virtual Trading strategies across PJM and/or MISO wholesale electricity markets.

Identify and execute Day-Ahead and Real-Time virtual trading opportunities (INCs/DECs).

Analyse congestion patterns, Locational Marginal Pricing (LMP), transmission constraints and market fundamentals.

Develop independent market views and execute profitable trading strategies.

Manage trading risk, exposure and capital allocation.

Monitor market developments and continuously optimise trading performance.

Collaborate within a disciplined, high-performing proprietary trading environment.Essential RequirementsProven experience trading PJM and/or MISO Virtual Power Markets.

Direct experience trading Day-Ahead and Real-Time Virtual positions (INCs/DECs).

Demonstrable ownership of trading strategies and trading P&L.

Strong understanding of congestion, LMPs, transmission constraints and wholesale power market fundamentals.

Ability to independently develop and execute profitable trading strategies.

Experience trading FTRs is advantageous.
