Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with biopharmaceutical companies to drive revenue growth.
  • Deliver against an annual funding target (circa $1.5 million in year one) by selling a portfolio of educational solutions, including on-demand multimedia activities, live and virtual symposia and webcasts, and multi-format curricula.
  • Lead and execute strategic grant initiatives to expand the Global CME business across regions outside the US, with Europe as a priority.
  • Implement effective prospecting strategies to identify and engage relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess market trends, monitor competitor activity, and shape effective sales strategies.
  • Design and deliver compelling presentations that demonstrate the value and impact of the organisation's CME programmes.
  • Work closely with scientific strategy and grant operations teams to write and deliver grants that meet the needs and regulatory requirements of diverse international markets.
  • Maintain an accurate personal pipeline and sales forecast.
  • Stay informed on industry regulations and compliance standards, ensuring all activities adhere to relevant guidelines.
  • Travel within Europe and internationally (approximately 40%) to conferences and supporter offices as required.

About you

  • Demonstrable success in CME sales, or in strategic, consultative selling within a related healthcare environment.
  • Experience selling to and working with the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries.
  • A good understanding of medical education, ideally CME, and how educational programmes are funded and sold, including accreditation processes.
  • A proven ability to develop and grow strong client and supporter relationships, with sound business acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues across varied disciplines and backgrounds.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A collaborative, deadline-driven approach, with the motivation to work both independently and as part of a team.
