Oxygen 8 Recruitment has partnered with one of the world’s premier providers of Continuing Medical Education (CME) to find a powerhouse Director of Medical Education (Business Development).


With a global reach of over 5 million healthcare providers, our client is the undisputed gold standard for clinical updates, treatment breakthroughs, and medical innovation.In this consultative, high-impact sales role, you will act as a strategic partner to leading life sciences companies. You will identify critical clinical knowledge gaps, align with their therapeutic pipelines, and secure lucrative educational grants that ultimately improve global patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Expand the Portfolio: Actively prospect, cultivate, and scale a high-value pipeline of pharmaceutical and medical device accounts within your territory.
  • Pitch to Win: Deliver high-level, consultative presentations to industry supporters, aligning their corporate goals with innovative educational formats.
  • Collaborate & Close: Partner closely with internal scientific and creative teams to build compelling, grant-worthy proposals that convert.
  • Forecast with Precision: Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and therapeutic pipelines to maintain an accurate, thriving sales forecast.
  • Stay Compliant: Ensure all activities, proposals, and secured funding adhere strictly to ACCME guidelines and company policies.


Qualifications:


  • We are looking for a strategic relationship-builder who understands how to navigate the complex world of pharma funding.
  • The Track Record: Ideally 4+ years of professional B2B sales experience, with at least 3 years specifically selling CME/IME or promotional solutions to pharmaceutical companies.
  • The Network: Proven ability to penetrate Medical Affairs, Commercial, or Brand teams to secure industry funding and scale existing accounts.
  • The Know-How: Strong familiarity with ACCME guidelines and web-based CME programming is highly preferred.
  • The Skills: Elite communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. You must be comfortable commanding a room (or a Zoom) with VP-level life science executives.
  • The Drive: A self-starter mentality with exceptional project management skills to handle multiple complex grant proposals simultaneously.Travel & Work Environment


This is a remote-first role, but you must have the ability to travel up to 60% for face-to-face client meetings, pitch presentations, and major industry conferences.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $120,000 per year (Commensurate with experience and location)
