Job Summary
JOB TITLE: CAMHS Inpatient Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) Consultant Psychiatrist
LOCATION: Nottingham
SALARY: £99,532 to £131,964
We are recruiting a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist for a CAMHS Inpatient Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role involves providing high-quality psychiatric care to young people aged 13-18 with complex psychiatric conditions. The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary teams, provide clinical leadership, and contribute to service development. The role also includes supervising junior medical staff and participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
Experience
Requirements:
MRCPsych or CESR, eligible for Specialist Register
Experience in CAMHS inpatient psychiatry, particularly in PICUs
Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise
Approved clinician status (or ability to achieve within 3 months)
Approved under S12 (or ability to achieve within 3 months)
Strong leadership and communication skills
