Job Summary
As a Specialist Children’s and Adult’s Occupational Therapist you will be working with direct and indirect support from a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist. You will also undertake a supervisor role for newly qualified Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and Student Occupational Therapists. You will be responsible with managing your own caseload and diary. This opportunity is community based therefore a driving license and access to your own car is essential. Salary : Starting from £35k ( dependent on experience/qualifications/years qualified) Suitable for Occupational Therapists with minimum 2 years paediatric experience

Job Responsibilities
- Ability to engage with clients and families of a range of ages, experiencing a wide range of diagnoses and needs. Including but not limited to, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Dyspraxia, Autistic Spectrum Condition, Cerebral Palsy and Down Syndrome.
- Competence utilising standardised assessments to produce professional reports and provide feedback to parents to discuss Occupational Therapy outcomes and recommendations.
- Ability to clinically reason the most appropriate intervention to achieve goals, relating to several areas of occupational engagement. Including but not limited to handwriting difficulties, issues with coordination, fine and gross motor skills, concentration levels, physical strength and fatigue or sensory processing differences.
- Building rapport with school staff and liaising with SENCOs, Teachers, and Parents in relation to the necessary support provided.
- Delegation of suitable tasks to an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support management of caseload and prioritisation of clients.
