Job Summary
We are seeking Ofsted registered managers for brand new children's homes. The service will work alongside their existing community packages, offering high quality care centred around each child’s individual needs, supporting their learning and development whilst enabling them to live fulfilled lives, in which they are empowered to express their own needs, interests and wishes. The service will aim to support Commissioners with respite and or assessment packages.

Our client provides personal care and nursing services to children from birth upwards to end of life, all of whom are living and receiving care in their own homes.
Their care service is aimed at supporting individuals with complex care requirements.
This care is delivered by skilled Healthcare Professionals under the supervision and leadership of trained nurses.

Experience
Experience/Requirements
Level 5 in leadership and management
Experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager
Experience working with children with disabilities and/or complex mental health and/or looked after children and young people
Ability to deal with conflict/crisis situations effectively and in a therapeutic manner (managing both staff and young people)
Work as part of a multi-disciplinary consultative team with other internal and external professionals
Excellent and sound knowledge of residential guidelines including Quality Standards, Care Standards Act, Children’s home regulations, Children’s Act
Knowledge of child protection issues and procedures.
Experience assessing and managing referrals for both short notice and planned approach.
Ability to engage, motivate and communicate with children and young people including those with special needs
Ability to work on own initiative and part of a team
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Good organisational, planning and problem-solving skills.
Ability to present clear and informative written and verbal reports.
Experience in having set up a brand new service
Experience of managing budgets.
Job Responsibilities
- Individual Care Planning: Ensure personalized care plans for each child/young person that address their specific needs.
- Activity Planning: Develop quality session and activity plans in advance for effective delivery.
- Operational Oversight: Provide strategic management of daily operations to ensure safety and engagement of children/young people.
- Assessments: Complete necessary assessments prior to participation in activities.
- Quality Monitoring: Evaluate and report on the home's quality and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Resource Management: Organize and utilize resources effectively to meet the diverse needs of young people.
- Casework Coordination: Monitor and evaluate casework and administrative functions within the home.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance procedures to monitor home operations and develop staff through supervision.
- Professional Relationships: Foster positive relationships with the multi-agency team and families involved in the care of the children.
- Budget Management: Ensure service delivery aligns with the agreed budget and strategy.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide support to short break staff and liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
- Service Allocation: Lead the gatekeeping and allocation of services based on assessed needs and risk management.

- On-Call Responsibilities: Participate in an on-call system for emergencies and support.
