We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a well-established aerospace manufacturing organisation.
Reporting into the General Manager, you’ll take ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and lead the Inspection function, ensuring product conformity and compliance across all stages of manufacture.
This role suits someone confident operating within an AS9100 / ISO 9100 environment, with strong FAIR / LAIR capability and the leadership skills to develop and drive a high-performing inspection team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with business standards and customer requirements.
- Act as the company Management Representative for all quality matters.
- Provide line management to the Inspection Team, including daily workload management, communication, and performance development.
- Oversee inspection and verification of parts at all stages of manufacture.
- Lead all Calibration, Testing, Qualification activities and associated approvals.
- Ensure calibrated equipment is maintained and available to support manufacturing requirements.
- Create and approve FAIR / LAIR documentation to specification (including approval/sign-off responsibility).
- Support and manage Visual FAIR training in line with customer / design authority requirements.
- Identify resource, investment, training and approval needs to ensure ongoing compliance and capability.
- Plan, conduct, and support internal and external audits to ISO 9100 / AS9100 standards.
- Participate in Management Review meetings and contribute to business objectives and continuous improvement.
- Essential Experience & Skills Proven experience in the aerospace sector (essential).
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9100 and quality compliance requirements.
- Recent hands-on experience with First Article Inspections (FAIR/LAIR) and ability to create/approve documentation.
- Confident interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Audit experience (internal/external) and qualified/capable of conducting audits.
Experience with OASIS (preferred/advantageous).
Familiarity with EASA requirements (advantageous).
Strong attention to detail, numeracy, and time management.
Strong IT skills including Excel and general computer literacy.
Professional communication skills with the ability to influence across departments.
Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 06:45 – 16:30
