Job Title: Therapeutic Radiation Oncology Physicist


Location: Iowa (Full-time, Permanent)


Salary: $180,000 – $300,000 annually, dependent on experience, plus comprehensive benefits

Role Overview:


The Therapeutic Medical Physicist will oversee acceptance testing and commissioning of CT simulators, Varian linear accelerators, treatment planning systems, and Record and Verify systems. Responsibilities include beam calibration, CT density calibration, system data validation, and implementation of a comprehensive QA/QC program. The physicist will perform weekly, monthly, and annual QA, support IMRT planning quality control, review patient dosimetry records, assist with patient setup when needed, and provide support for HDR and prostate brachytherapy procedures.


Key Requirements:


• ABR board-certified preferred; other candidates also considered• Experience with Varian linear accelerators and associated systems• Strong expertise in commissioning, calibration, and radiation oncology QA programs• Eligible to work full-time in Iowa
