Job Advert – Midweight Designer
Interior Designer – Workplace & Commercial
Up to £40,000 | Hybrid Working (3 days in office, 2 from home)
Modus Careers is recruiting on behalf of a respected design-led business specialising in workplace and commercial environments. Working with a diverse mix of clients across consultancy, corporate, and lab sectors, they deliver intelligent, human-focused design solutions with a strong commercial edge.
They are seeking a Midweight Designer with proven experience in the commercial workplace and furniture sector to join their growing London team. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role with real ownership, ideal for someone confident managing multiple projects, engaging directly with clients, and producing high-quality design documentation.
Your Role Will Include:
Leading the design coordination process from concept through to installation
Supporting Sales and Project Management teams to deliver successful client outcomes
Managing drawings and documentation across multiple stakeholders including architects and clients
Producing proposal and specification packs for presentations and bids
Creating technical drawings, take-offs, and layout plans
Planning and managing installation requirements and space planning details
Developing client-facing visuals and presentation graphics
Running finishes workshops and material collation
Providing day-to-day design support for the London studio
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Has 4+ years’ experience in the commercial workplace or furniture design sector
Is confident managing client and architect relationships with professionalism and creativity
Possesses strong technical skills across space planning, drawing packages and specifications
Has a proactive, collaborative approach and can adapt to shifting project demands
Is proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and the Adobe Creative Suite
Brings strong organisation and communication skills, with an eye for detail and efficiency
