Overview

This organisation is seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of digital services for the UK public sector using open source technologies within Agile and DevOps frameworks.The role focuses on enabling multiple teams, driving best practice, collaborating across projects, and inspiring other architects to deliver high-quality solutions.

Role Objectives

• Network and communicate with senior stakeholders across organisations
• Identify and pursue opportunities for digital transformation
• Build rapport with customers to uncover new opportunities
• Support multiple teams, applying best practice and emerging technologies
• Inspire other architects and guide delivery towards organisational goals
• Provide governance, solve complex and high-risk issues, and deliver architecture design
• Collaborate on multiple projects with several customers
• Present solutions and options to senior stakeholders
• Share knowledge with other teams to drive continuous improvement

Technical Requirements

Candidates should have extensive commercial experience in many of the following:

• Technical and solution design
• Open source software
• Cloud computing (preferably AWS)
• Security best practices
• Identity and access management: IAM, OAuth, Cognito, OIDC (advantageous)
• Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• DevOps / DevSecOps tools and practices
• Programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, and Python

Security Clearance Requirement

• Candidates must: Be eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
• Have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship
• Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5+ years
