Job Summary

This organisation delivers innovative digital services to the UK public sector. They are seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of digital solutions using open-source technologies within Agile and DevOps frameworks. The role involves collaborating with multiple teams, inspiring other architects, and engaging with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital transformation and improve service delivery. Role Objectives

  • Network and communicate with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for digital transformation
  • Build strong client relationships and identify new opportunities
  • Support multiple teams using best practice and emerging technologies
  • Mentor and inspire other architects
  • Lead governance and solve complex/high-risk technical challenges
  • Deliver architecture designs and present solutions/options to senior stakeholders
  • Collaborate across multiple projects and teams to drive continuous improvement


Technical Skills & Experience

  • Technical and solution design expertise
  • Experience with open-source software
  • Cloud computing experience (ideally AWS)
  • Security best practices
  • IAM, OAuth, Cognito, OIDC (advantageous)
  • Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • DevOps / DevSecOps tools and practices
  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages (JavaScript, Java, Python)


Security Clearance Requirement

  • Due to the nature of government client work, candidates must:Be eligible for Security Clearance (SC)
  • Have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship
  • Have lived in the UK continuously for the past 5+ years
