We’re supporting a growing organisation in the Redhill area that’s looking to add an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to their IT team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on technical support, working with modern technologies, and being the go-to escalation point for complex issues.
The role
You’ll be responsible for providing high-quality 2nd line support across a broad technical environment, working closely with 1st line, infrastructure, and third-party suppliers to keep systems running smoothly.
Key responsibilities
• Acting as escalation point for 1st line support tickets
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Supporting Windows environments (desktop & server)
• Managing Active Directory, user accounts, and permissions
• Supporting Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint)
• Assisting with patching, upgrades, and system improvements
• Documenting fixes and contributing to knowledge base articles
What we’re looking for
• Proven experience in a 2nd Line Support / IT Support role
• Strong Windows OS and Active Directory experience
• Microsoft 365 support experience
• Good understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)
• Confident communicator with a problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Nice to have
• Experience in an MSP or fast-paced environment
• Exposure to Azure / cloud technologies
• ITIL certification or structured service desk experience
