We are currently recruiting experienced Door Supervisors who hold the Level 2 Award in Spectator Safety for upcoming events.


Role Overview


As a Door Supervisor with Level 2 Spectator Safety training, you will play a key role in maintaining safety, security, and order at events. You will manage access points, monitor crowd behaviour, enforce venue rules, and respond promptly and appropriately to incidents or emergencies.


Your work will help ensure the safety of all attendees, staff, and performers, while supporting the smooth running of the event.


Key Responsibilities


  • Control entry and exit points: check tickets, passes, and identification; refuse entry where necessary in line with venue policies and legal requirements
  • Conduct respectful and legal searches of people and belongings to prevent prohibited items from entering the venue
  • Monitor crowd movements, behaviour, and density; identify and resolve potential risks, conflicts, or safety hazards early
  • Apply knowledge of spectator safety principles to manage crowds during ingress, circulation, and egress – including during peak periods or transitions
  • Enforce venue regulations, health and safety rules, and licensing conditions clearly and consistently
  • Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies; follow established procedures and work with emergency services where required
  • Provide clear, helpful information and assistance to attendees, visitors, and colleagues
  • Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain a visible, professional presence at all times; wear uniform and identification as specified
  • Comply with all security legislation, health and safety requirements, and company policies


Required Qualifications & Certifications Mandatory:

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence (valid and in-date)
  • Mandatory: Level 2 Award in Spectator Safety (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Valid proof of eligibility to work in the UK
  • Excellent understanding of relevant security and safety legislation (e.g., Licensing Act, Health and Safety at Work Act, Public Order Act)


Essential Skills & Experience


  • Proven experience working as a Door Supervisor, ideally within event, venue, or leisure environments
  • Strong knowledge of crowd management techniques and spectator safety best practice
  • Ability to remain calm, assertive, and professional in high-pressure or challenging situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – able to interact positively with people from all backgrounds
  • Good observational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, or operate effectively as part of a wider security team
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand/walk for long periods, and carry out physical tasks where necessary
  • High level of integrity, reliability, and punctualityDesirable CriteriaExperience working at large-scale events, festivals, concerts, or sporting venues


Additional relevant qualifications

  • (e.g., First Aid, Conflict Management, CCTV Operation)
  • Knowledge of specific venue safety protocols or event procedures
