Location: UK (Hybrid/Flexible/Field) (Manchester/London Advantageous)

Salary: £50,000 + Bonus/Commission


At MRG Recruitment, we’re working with a growing, forward-thinking organisation looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and build long-term client partnerships.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven individual who enjoys winning new business, developing key accounts, and playing a strategic role in shaping growth.


The Role as a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering against ambitious revenue targets.


You’ll play a key role in expanding market presence while working closely with senior leadership.


Key Responsibilities:


Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and win new business through proactive outreach, networking, and market research
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow both new and existing accounts
  • Lead on negotiations and successfully close commercial deals


Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients
  • Act as a trusted partner, providing ongoing support and solutions
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and expand service offerings


Market Insight & Growth

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity
  • Contribute ideas to enhance services and maintain a competitive edge


Tenders & Contracts

  • Support and lead on tender submissions and proposals
  • Manage contract negotiations and ensure smooth delivery post-agreement


Performance & Reporting

  • Track pipeline activity, revenue performance, and key metrics
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support continued growth


Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver results
  • Share knowledge and contribute to a high-performance culture


About You

  • Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management
  • Strong ability to win new business and manage client relationships
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven
  • Confident communicator with a professional approach
