Business Development Manager
Location: UK (Hybrid/Flexible/Field) (Manchester/London Advantageous)
Salary: £50,000 + Bonus/Commission
At MRG Recruitment, we’re working with a growing, forward-thinking organisation looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and build long-term client partnerships.This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven individual who enjoys winning new business, developing key accounts, and playing a strategic role in shaping growth.
The Role as a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering against ambitious revenue targets.
You’ll play a key role in expanding market presence while working closely with senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and win new business through proactive outreach, networking, and market research
- Develop and execute strategies to grow both new and existing accounts
- Lead on negotiations and successfully close commercial deals
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients
- Act as a trusted partner, providing ongoing support and solutions
- Identify opportunities to upsell and expand service offerings
Market Insight & Growth
- Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity
- Contribute ideas to enhance services and maintain a competitive edge
Tenders & Contracts
- Support and lead on tender submissions and proposals
- Manage contract negotiations and ensure smooth delivery post-agreement
Performance & Reporting
- Track pipeline activity, revenue performance, and key metrics
- Provide insights and recommendations to support continued growth
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver results
- Share knowledge and contribute to a high-performance culture
About You
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management
- Strong ability to win new business and manage client relationships
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven
- Confident communicator with a professional approach
