Reporting into the Finance Director, this position offers a well-balanced mix of management and financial accounting responsibilities. Day-to-day duties will include producing monthly accounts, supporting KPI analysis post month-end, assisting with year-end, budgeting and forecasting, financial analysis, VAT returns, maintaining the balance sheet, cashflow forecasting, and supporting the wider business with informed decision-making.

The role would suit either a candidate making their first move from practice into industry, or someone already in industry looking for their next step. You’ll be close to or recently qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), and if you’re still studying the business will support you through to qualification.

• Monthly management accounts production (month-end).
• KPI reporting and post month-end analysis.
• Budgeting and forecasting (including variance analysis).
• Financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Year-end support and audit preparation.
• VAT returns / VAT accounting.
• Balance sheet management and reconciliations.
• Cashflow forecasting and cash management.
• Management & financial accounting knowledge (technical accounting fundamentals).
• Stakeholder management / business partnering with non-finance teams and senior leaders (e.g., Finance Director).
