Job Title: Fire & Security Installation Engineer

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 / year (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Fire & Security Installation Engineer to join our client in Wigan. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and setting up integrated fire and security systems across commercial and residential client sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, wire, configure, and commission Fire Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.
- Perform first and second-fix installation work to high technical and safety standards.
- Conduct system testing, handovers, and provide basic system training to end-users.
- Diagnose installation issues and ensure full compliance with industry standards (e.g., NSI / SSAIB, BAFE).
Requirements
- Proven experience installing Fire Alarms, CCTV, and Access Control systems.
- Solid understanding of relevant British Standards (e.g., BS 5839 for Fire, BS 8418 / EN 50131 for Security).
- Clean UK driver’s license and willingness to travel to local client sites.
- Relevant industry certifications (FIA, 18th Edition, or manufacturer-specific training) are highly desirable.
