Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, invoice processing and assisting with reporting and reconciliations. This role is ideal for someone with strong numerical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to develop a career in accounting and finance.
Key Responsibilities
Processing of purchase invoices.
Sales invoicing.
Data entry into CRM database for resulting invoice outputs.
Management of the returns process, including credit notes and reconciliation.
Supplier statement checking and reconciliation.
Credit card statement reconciliations.
Month-end supplier payment checks.
New contractor onboarding.
Ad hoc financial reporting.
Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing and document management.
Cover for the Financial Director as needed.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Strong numeracy and skills and attention to detail.
Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems.
Excellent, administrative, organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
Prior experience in a finance or accounts environment.
AAT Level 2 or above (or working towards).
