Overview
As an Electrical Field Service Technician, you will handle electrical repairs, upgrades, and solutions across various retail environments. We're seeking a journeyman commercial electrician with strong expertise in retail electrical installations and the ability to work independently on service calls. Flexible work schedules include Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday. You'll receive a company vehicle, gas card, and the option to start routes from home or the regional shop. The role offers a two-week training period and annual performance reviews.
Responsibilities
Leverage journeyman electrician skills for installing, maintaining, and diagnosing commercial electrical components
Terminate and pull wires into control centers, panels, distribution boxes, transformers, transducers, switchgear, receptacles, switches, and raceways
Troubleshoot, test, and repair emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, and power distribution systems
Apply knowledge of refrigeration control wiring, Ansul Systems, or HVAC motor control wiring (preferred)
Work independently from blueprints, sketches, or schematic drawings
Deliver informative customer service explaining the scope of electrical repairs
Operate company vehicles in line with department policies
Utilize cell phone communication, GPS, and electronic documentation tools proficiently
Submit required service paperwork and reports per department guidelines
Adhere to the Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday work schedule
Embrace additional duties to support department objectives
Requirements
At least five years of commercial electrical experience in service or construction
California Journeyman Electrical License (preferred)
Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check
Strong English communication skills for reports and emails
Commitment to safety guidelines, CALOSHA standards, and company policies
