KL Talent Solutions is working with a client who is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their North East team, delivering a range of housing development and regeneration schemes across Tyne & Wear.Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from award through to final account, ensuring effective cost control, risk management, and delivery of financial targets.This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for quality and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing project costs from inception through to completion
• Preparing and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and cash flows
• Procuring and managing subcontractor packages
• Administering subcontractor accounts, including valuations and final accounts
• Monitoring and reporting on project performance and financial position
• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
• Supporting the wider project team to ensure successful project delivery

About You

• Experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
• Background in housing or residential development is desirable
• Strong understanding of contract administration and commercial processes
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with COINS or similar systems would be beneficial
